Custom Bike Show goes virtual!

Unfortunately, due to the current social situation with the Corona virus, there is no possibility of organizing Custom Bike Show in June 2020 as usual. Instead, Twin Club Mc will host an unusual Custom Bike Show - a virtual exhibition.

Saturday, June 6 should be the Custom Bike Show, in Societetsparken in Norrtälje with lots of cool motorcycles and thousands of visitors. But this year, the exhibition and festival will not be in compliance with the restrictions of the Public Health Authority. However, the organizer Twin Club Mc still wants to be able to offer all motorcycle enthusiasts an exhibition, and will therefore invite to a virtual exhibition.

Custom Bike Show is an event that normally takes place on the first Saturday in June. The motorcycle season starts for many interested with a visit to Societetsparken down town Norrtälje. 4000-5000 motorcycles usually come and fill all nearby streets, which for the day are converted into parking spaces. The park has 10,000 visitors - motorcyclists and motorcyclists of all ages.

This year's exhibition will be a completely virtual event, but arranged so that anyone who wants to follow it all digitally will have an experience that can be recognized by many from a regular Custom Bike Show. To achieve this vision, the club has developed a website with several unusual solutions.

Twin Club Mc has worked with Anders Eriksson at Roslagens Webbyrå to create a digital meeting place for both exhibitors and interested visitors.

Digital exhibitions are not uncommon - but doing an exhibition with several different classes and combining this with creating an exciting digital day is new, says Uffe Karlsson, member of Twin Club Mc, who participated in the development work.

For those who are interested and want to participate in the exhibition, are supposed to submit one or more pictures on their motorcycle.
The pictures are placed in different forums corresponding to the different classes in a regular exhibition. This year's exhibition includes the classes:

HD Chopper, Chopper, Custom, Racer, Classic and Modified Standard.

Unfortunately, there will be no selection for the World Championship of Custom Bike Building, but new for this year is that everyone who attends the virtual event can vote in all classes.
In addition to motorcycle exhibitions, there will be various digital activities to take part in during the day - a music program, with possible live broadcasts and various elements and events that during a regular day in the Societetsparken!

The Custom Bike Show is organized by Twin Club Mc, which is one of the oldest motorcycle clubs in Sweden. However, the way to organize the exhibition this year is completely new!

Custom Bike Show #45
This year's Custom Bike Show became an event of creativity and innovation. Anders Theo from Huddinge won e-Custom and Peter Forsberg from Gävle showed a compressed air-driven motorcycle. Anders Nordin came back with his winning motorcycle from 1974.
More than 7,000 visitors entered the exhibition arena in the city park in Norrtälje and 200 motorcycles were to be seen at the exhibition.

This year's World Champion finalists were selected by a well-known jury with, among others, Michael Lichter, motorcycle-photographer from the USA, Ola Stenegärd, chief designer at Indian Motorcycles and the biker-profile Marlon Larsson from Twin Club Mc. The first World Cup site went to Charlie Swordson, a talented car builder from Falun who created an HD-Chopper in narrow and sparse but elegant design. Second came Mikka Takala from Finland and the third World Cup ticket got Daniel Andersson from Borlänge.

Peter Forsberg from Gävle won the Custom class with a compressed air driven! motorbike did not come among the three who received a World Cup ticket, but received a "Wild-Card" by the World Cup organizer Neil Blaber. Peter's creation that took 3 years to create is perhaps more of a work of art than a motorcycle as the technology only allows a trip of 3 minutes - but it is a fantastic example of creativity and design!

Anders Theo became the first winner in the new class for the year, e-Custom - for motorcycles powered by a electric motor. Anders has built and cleared his building for several years and got his motorcycle inspected and finished earlier this spring.
Otherwise, it was Norway's day, the prestigious class HD-Chopper was won by Knut Skogsrud from Oslo with his mc Blue Hawaii - Knut is now a experienced winner as he, a week ago won the Helsinki Bike Show. The second place was also a Norwegian, Fredrik van der Lippe from Rahms Mc in Trondheim.
In the class for Modified Standard, Stigbjörn Wilsen from Rulpers Hog won with a tasteful Harley Davidson. Today's fourth happy Norwegian became Stein Kristoffersen who won third place in the Chopper class with a Triumph-based bike.

One of today's highlights was also Anders Nordin's newly restored HD Chopper, The Rainbow. Anders originally built his motorcycle to the Custom Bike Show in 1974, where he won! Some years later, the bike was sold, but a few years ago it found its way back to Anders - then in a miserable condition. Anders has then restored and modernized and painted it to the original appearance with old pictures as a model. There was no price for Anders this year, but much attention and credit for his cultural work.

The fact that Custom Bike Show gets more international touch is visible both in the start-and result list, 30% of all exhibitors and half of all winners are foreign visitors. To the more distant winners, the Swiss Bike-company CCCP Motorcycles, who took second place in the Custom Class with a board-track-inspired HD building and third place in Racer Class with a Sportster building.

Another good builder is Ismo Keski-Korni who won the Chopper class as he did last year – but with a new motorcycle every year. This years entry was a bike based on a Kawasaki with an extraordinary front fork.

For the local successes, Micke Sandberg from Twin Club Mc stood with a completely new HD chopper. Most of the visitors found it as the best, and he won the Peoples Choice.

Custom Bike Show
Driving a motorcycle to Norrtälje on the first Saturday of June is a long and well established tradition for all motorcycles interested. For many, it is the year's first trip or longer journey. So also this year and in a fantastic weather more than 5500 motorcycles came to Norrtälje. All of these, together with other visitors, became more than 10,000 people who enjoyed the societetspark.

It was motorcyclists from all countries in Europe, the longest trip probably had Giordano Sforazzini who came from Rome to show his building that might not be a motorcycle in the sense of the word but a spectacular vehicle.

240 motorcycles participated in this year's competition, which included the classes HD-Chopper, Chopper, Custom, Racer, Classic, Modified Standard, Best Paint and Peoples Choice. Most competitors was also this year in the HD-Chopper class with just under 70 motorcycles. Here Claes Wärefors from Strängnäs won, a well-known builder who has won prizes at Custom Bike Show previous. Claes also won one of the jury's prizes and received a ticket to the World Cup this fall. Second and third prizes went to Finland through Janne Antttila from Pythänskoski and Rezi from Oulu.

The second largest class this year was Custom with over 50 participants, Anders Lundgren & Lasse Sundberg won the now-days well-known Indian Super Scout, a motorcycle that won prizes in most of the exhibitions where it has been, so now the gentlemen can also add a won on the Custom Bike Show on the list. The Indian also became one of the jury favorites and qualified for the World Cup in World cup in Cologne in early October.

Gerhard Remmert from BikeFarm in Melle, Germany came to Norrtälje with two motorcycles, 2 different Harleys and two different classes, Custom and Racer, with good results, he won third prizes in both classes!

The racing class was won by another well-known builder, Pål Steenersen, from Rulperts Hog in Norway, he has won the Custom Bike Show earlier in 2016, he become second in Modified Harley.
Even in the classics class, it was a celebrity won. Petri Ruusunen. Petri is a well-known Finnish artist and silversmith with several previous high-rise buildings. This year he returned with an updated version of his Velacimoteur (possibly translated as "this is a motorcycle"). What it really was for the engine in the vehicle is unknown, but the 1910s old look mixed with a little steampunk went home with both the audience and the jury. Petri got the jury's first prize and with that the third ticket to the World Cup in Cologne.

This year's new class, Modified Standard won Marko Antila from Seinäjoki in Finland with a Harley Davidson Panhead from 1956. Happy number two were Strul MMC from Enköping who came to Norrtälje with his club building, a pleasantly converted Maicomobil from the 50's. Even happier when they received the final prize of the day - The Peoples Choice prize, the perhaps the most prestigious award! The best coat prize went to Ari Koski-Karja with a Panhead-55 with 70's inspired lacquer with lots of flake.

For Giordano Sforazzini from Rome there was no prize, but this year, at the third attempt, he could finish his construction at the Custom Bike Show. The wonderful building, named Biga Valerio, is a motorcycle-engineered version of an antique Roman trolley. Once in place in Societetspark, he became the public magnet!

Custom Bike Show no. 43! 5000 motorcycles in Norrtälje !

On June 3, 2017, the first Saturday in June, and for the 43rd time since the start in 1971, it was the time for Custom Bike Show ™. The exhibition, which has become one of the world's most prestigious motorcycle exhibitions for customized motorcycles and this year attracted about 230 exhibitors in 8 different classes. Top weather and 9000 spectators made it a big festival in Norrtälje.

Someone has said that "it's only old guys who ride chopper", and maybe there's a little bit of truth in that expression because there were a lot of well-known bike builders who exhibited this year's exhibition and some had probably passed the 50's. Nevertheless, the HD chopper class was the class that attracted the most participants with 60 competitors. But the age was spread and participants were not only from Sweden but also from Norway, Finland, Denmark, the Baltic States and Germany. The winner was Sami Järvelä from Scrap Mc, Rauma in Finland.

One of the young enthusiasts was Björn Henning Larsson is from Oslo. On Friday afternoon at 13 o'clock he put the last screw on his newly built HD chopper. Shortly thereafter he started the journey towards Norrtälje and arrived late at night until Saturday. On Saturday morning with some small adjustments he could enter the exhibition. There was no price this year - we hope he will try again next year.

Café racer is a trend among many builders today and if you like to be really hip you should ride BMW. And, of course, there were many BMW buildings among the about 30's exhibitors in the class. But, in fact, none of them ended up at the podium, won did instead Jakko Mäkelä from Nousiainen, Finland with an NSU, an odd engine today but common about 50 years ago. (NSU ended as a motorcycle brand in 1964) Second and third place went to Sweden through Dan Andersson from Borlänge with a Triton (a cross between Triump and Norton) and Johan Syrén from Sundbyberg with a Triumph Truxton.

One can invent a completely own motorcycle brand and return 100 years back in time, build a motorcycle and win on the Custom Bike Show. That was exactly what Petri Ruusunen from Turku in Finland did, he came on his Velacimoteur (possibly translated as "this is a motorcycle"). What kind of brand the engine really was unknown, but the 1910s antique look was unmistakably stylish. May be, one of the other old school builders thought that it was unfair that a motorcycle that never existed could win, but at the same time it proves that creativity is high!

David Burman from Arjeplog was the one who had most watchers when driving his snowmobiles on the canal that ends in the Norrtälje harbor. Snowmobiles usually run mostly on snow, a more solid form of water, but at this year's Custom Bike Show made David two attempts to repeat his unique world record snowmobile trick. It is up to running at full speed on water, up on a ramp and making a jump with a perfect backflip and then driving on to land. He did not succeed at any of his two attempts which ended under the water surface. The audience liked his daredevil attempt and he received a big audience and a lot of applause.

It went better for the other daredevils who performed. Jimmy Olsson with his trialtrick who ended with a stage show where he jumped with a motorcycle over the band's drummer to the audience's great delight. Johan and Camilla Tildemyr performed an almost 100-year variety trick by driving a 60 year old motorcycle cross and across inside a steel cage from the early 1920s

Custom Bike Show 2016 - summer town festival in Norrtälje!

Sun, blue sky, motorcycle sound and the coolest festival of the year! People and motorcycles throughout a kilometer long street in downtown Norrtälje. This is Sweden's biggest motorcycle party, with the city park, Societetsparken, full of bikes and happy people and not a free cafe chair in the whole town!

11,000 visitors, 5,000 motorcycles, 272 exhibitors, 29 winners from eight countries in the park! It is the sum of Custom Bike Show # 42! As always, then, since 1971, is the first Saturday in June, the day on which motorcycle builders from all over Europe gathered in Norrtälje to make up for the titles!

This year there were 10 titles to win as in previous years, classes Classics, Trike, Custom, Modified Harley, Chopper, Cafe Racer, HD Chopper and new for this year - Bagger (loosely translated: garbage collector). As usual Custom Bike Show is also qualifier for the World Championships - where the Twin Club Mc awards prize money to make it possible for qualifying winners will be able to get to the World Championship of motorcycle building in Cologne, Germany in October.

First to win in the new class Bagger was Anders Gunne from Norrtälje with a building based on a new Harley Davidson Dresser, long, low and with a stunning paint in red, purple and blue hues. The entire bike is full of smart necessary and fun needless solutions! Moreover, as was Anders and his new build motorcycle is also the audience favorite and won the prestige award “Peoples Choice”! Also the price for the best paint went to a bagger – from Helsinki came Klaus Riste with a bagger full of nice airbrushed portrait of classic pop and rock stars. Even last year Klaus Riste won this class.

In the constant battle between Finland and Sweden it went Sweden's way, with a total of eight titles to Sweden and three titles to Finland. Aside from the Best paint award went prizes in the Modified Harley Davidson to Juho Roohu from Helsinki and HD Chopper to Rezi from Oulu in Finland.

The other multiple winner of today was Johnny Martinsson, former Norrtälje, but nowaday from Farsta who with his motorcycle Jolly Jumper won the Custom class ahead from John Mathisen, Stockholm. Johnny Martinsson was also the favorite of the jury and won one of three qualifying places for the World Championships of motorcycle building in Cologne, in October. The other qualifying places for the World Championship went to John Mathisen from Hägersten and Juho Roohu from Helsinki.

Besides that Norrtälje Custom Bike Show is the most prestigious and largest motorcycle exhibition in Sweden, it is the first major motorcycle event in the Nordic countries with two nights and a day of activities and events for motorcycle enthusiasts.

During the exhibition the day was full of activities in and around the park. Just outside entertained Norrtälje stunters with jumps and other cool tricks on a motorcycle. On stage were two gigs, Favorite Hippies with country-rock and hard rock with Corroded. The coolest activity during the day was Fredrik "Frog" Berggren and Marcus Dubois, Sweden's best FMX artists with a show of freestyle motocross. They jumped high above tree height in the Socitetspark while they did acrobatics on motorbikes in front of an exalted audience.

Custom Bike Show # 41! Two days before this year's show the summer arrived and the first tour for many bikers went to Norrtälje! More than 9,000 found to town and most of the visitors came on a motorcycle.
This year was the major parts of Norrtälje center included in the festival site and several streets went to parking lots and space for other events. More than 200 exhibitors in eight classes with exciting and fun bike builds and lots of activities for our visitors. On stage Guvenor Any and The Beat from Palokaville performed along with demonstration run in trial and stunt. At the harbor basin was 2 flyboard performing and every now and then, it was the start of a snowmobile with jet engine
At the very first show in 1971 it was about 40 visitors who found their way to Norrtälje, this year it was 200 times more! From the beginning there were three classes, standard, modified standard, and choppers. This year it was eight classes and the only class that remains from the beginning was the choppers class.
New for this year is the class for Café Racer, and the first winner was a Dutchman! Floris Velthis from Bremel in Holland won with his Flow Rochester Ironhead. Floris was also the jury's favorite and won a ticket to the World Championship of Bike Building in Cologne in the autumn 2016.
For the first show visitors came from our nearest towns, today visitors come from all over Europe. This year's competition had an unusual number of long-distance participants, we have had visitors from Holland, Poland and Italy. We had many visits from our friends in Finland, Norway, Denmark and the Baltic countries.
Just as the last years, our neighbors from Finland showed that they are a leading bike builder country with 3 first prize winner and 2 second prize winners. Jari Niinimäki / Lunkka von the Chopper class, Mark Raunio won the Classic Custom and Jaakho Mäkelä won in Custom. In addition, Klaus Riste from Helsinki von the prize for best paintjob.
In the class for the oldest motorcycles, Classics, was won by Pierre Dal Ri who came all the way from northeastern Italy. Even the winner in the HD Chopper was a long-distance guest, Bogdan Malajovics of Wieliczka in southern Poland.
Sweden became the winner in trike with Johnny Martinsson from Farsta and the Peoples Choice in which the audience votes for their favorite was Tommy Fiala from Täby the winner.
For the 10th consecutive year Custom Bike Show also the selection race for the World Championship of Bike Building and this year was the qualifying competition for the World Cup finals in Cologne in autumn 2016. In total, Twin Club over the years have sent 9 bikes for the World Cup and 18 bikes to the European Championship. In 2007 Stellan Egeland also won the World Championship after qualifying via the Custom Bike Show.
This year the competition was won then Floris Velthis from Holland with Pål Steensersen from Norway in second place and Cafe Racer Manufacture from Poland in third place.

Festival! More than 12 000 visitors found their way to this 40 year celebration of Custom Bike Show in Societetsparken in Norrtälje! Everywhere was full of motorcycles and visitors!

The 40-years party began on Friday evening with food and Rock'n Roll at the campsite at the club shack. The celebration continued on Saturday with Custom Bike Show.
This year's show became a big festival with lots of motorcycles, people and happenings. It was also the 10th consecutive year that the Custom Bike Show was the selection race for the World Championship of Custom Bike Building. The weather was also celebrating and showed a day of brilliant sunshine.

As part of the celebration had a gallery been built up where there were more than 300 images from all years since 1971.
Next door were about 30 of the winners from previous years in the "Hall of Fame".

Some really old building had found their way here as the trike that Leif Persson from Slite on Gotland was built in 1969 and which then stood on the podium 6 consecutive years beginning in 1975!
Another old classic building was Anders Nordin's "Rainbow" who stood on the podium in 1974! It remains unchanged and is still a motorcycle worth admiring.
Anders also set up with a new bike and won the award as the Peoples Choice with a rebuilt Harley Davidson! Dual winner albeit 40 years apart!
Another celebrity in the Hall of Fame was Stellan Egeland's "Hulster" which won the jury's choice in 2007 and then won the World Championship of Custom Bike Building in Stugis the same year.

There is no doubt that Custom Bike Show is increasingly an international competition. Of the 240 exhibitors came 70 from Europe or more far away, except from a large number from Finland were exhibitors from Norway, Latvia, Poland, Holland, Germany, France, Australia and Japan!

Kastsu from Suicide Custom in Japan sent his Harley with airfreight, not quite finished. He came to Norrtälje on Thursday and spent two intensive days to finish and then exhibit in class for HD Chopper. He received no price but has an overwhelming experience to take home. The same did apply for Kev Browne and Bruce Fenguson from southeastern Australia who had brought their bikes from home just to be with the Custom Bike Show.

The year was characterized by innovation and details. Many of the bikes had an amazing detail finnish, Petri Ruusunen from Turku belonged to the group that put work in both wood and metal for refining an old HD to a work of art with many ingenious brass details.
Veikko Sikiö from Juupajoki won Chopper Class with a technique and detail that was absolutely outstanding! He had built everything himself, including the engine, designed and hand-built!
It also became the first choice from the jury, an as consequence the 10th winner of Custom Bike Show which was directly qualified for the World Championship of Bike Building in Cologne, Germany

That the motorcycle-building is an art became evident during the Custom Bike Show. This year's winner Carlos Stenson from Västerlanda came to this year's show with a bike that was art! An amazing creation that would have been able to taken from 1920. It was enough for second place in the Custom class and one of the jury's tickets to the World Championship in Essen next spring. Carlos was also awarded the People’s choice.

Arts and happenings were a recurring theme in this year's show where cultural and creative motorcycle building went hand in hand. In the park was painted the largest painting ever made in Norrtälje - at 53 square canvas painted by graffiti artists Jags, Shake and Slewe with designs from the show.
In the harbor was art glass created and in the park was Jussi Säterli airbrusching. Sören Johansson from Uppsala was shaping metal sheets plates and at the stunt arena did Norrtälje Stunters breathtaking tricks on the motorcycle.
In the Sala Motordromen they drove on the walls, and Lazy Joe & Co showed that one can use an old motorcycle together with the balance of art at full speed.

Close to 8000 visitors had a nice day in Norrtälje together with 220 competitor bikes in 7 different classes, an outdoor event with 40 companies and motorcycle enthusiasts from all over Europe. Custom Bike Show is an event that attracts motorcycle builder and motorcycle enthusiasts, and for many is the premiere of the season. Many also come to see the trends and tendencies in motorcycle construction and take advantage of new products which will be shown. As in previous years were also Custom Bike Show selection race for the World Championship of Custom Bike Building.

Today's big winner was Alpo Varis from Aliens Mc, Finland who won the class with the toughest competition, HD Chopper. Alpo also won best paintjob and appointed by the judges as the best motorcycle with a ticket to the World Championship as a prize.

Surprise of the day and most smiles created Jupo Tannins building that at first glance looked like a regular motorcycle with sidecar - but without engine! Nevertheless, he came running into the show with a wide smile. During an amazing design he had hidden the engine and gearbox in the sidecar that had lines suspiciously look like an old WV bubble. This innovation gave Jupo the first prize in the Custom class.

-Most odd was perhaps a building from St. Petersburg, a Honda built together using everything and anything possible, including an untold number of registration plates. Art?, Maybe not, but it stuck out enough to get a second prize in the chopper class and Russia got its first winner at Custom Bike Show.

High class at the show but few visitors was the fact at Custom Bike Show in Norrtälje this year. Rain, rain and rain, is perhaps how many will remember the day. The comment of the day among the visitors still were:

-We will be back next year!

2000 courageous visitors and some hundred competitors from Finland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Russia, Estonia, Latvia and of course Sweden were represented at the Custom Bike Show in Norrtälje on Saturday. Although the weather there was high standard of the bikes and winners were appointed in classes HD Chopper, Chopper, Custom, Classic, Custom, Classic, Trike and Modified Harley. The winning bikes were of good standard and none of the winners had to be ashamed of the reduced line-up.

Claes Wärefors from Strängnäs became the big winner of today, first as a 1st prize in the Custom Class and then the deserving of to win the jury's choice. This means that Claes will represent Scandinavia in the World Championships in motorcycle building in Sturgis, USA in August this year. Tickets for the European Championship finals took Samuli Kaiuola, Finland and Peo Josefsson from Motala.
The class Modified Harley and Best Paintjob was won by Mike Wiråker from Kalmar with his bagger bike - Lord of the Rings.

Despite wetness the was crowd active and many of those present took the opportunity to SMS vote for John Mathisen from Hägersten which won the audience vote with his Choppster. A happy winner, who could leave Norrtälje with a brand new engine for his next building project.
The great festival atmosphere never really arrived, persistent rain and 8 degrees meant that visitors were reduced to a fraction of what is tradition. But those who defied the weather got a show with high quality and a great stage entertainment, or as one of the visitors put it:

-A fucking weather but great entertainment.

The event with a mix of exhibition, fair and festival is normally one of the largest of its kind in Europe, and is organized by Twin Club Mc in Norrtälje. This year was Custom Bike Show arranged for the 38th time, which is now and an established arena for motorcycle building in Scandinavia and Europe and which also has a good reputation in the United States, homeland of motorcycle buildings.
Motorcycle Building has a nearly 50 year tradition in Sweden, and is therefore a pioneer, closely behind the U.S. where the culture really took off in the 50s. To rebuild or build your very own motorcycle has not been entirely clear, but interest has been around. Sweden has been a trend-setter in the culture and there is a "Swedish style" in the world. Custom Bike Show, June 2nd!

Thunder, motorcycles and rock 'n roll! Custom Bike Show is the event of the year for many motorcycle riders.
The first Saturday in June, the Custom Bike Show in Norrtälje take place - this is how it has been for 37 year - and will be this year too! More than 300 Swedish and European exhibitors come together to make up for the titles, in front of an audience of more than 6000 motor cycles and 12 000 visitors.

Custom Bike Show is a large and established festival for motorcycle enthusiasts from all over Scandinavia, and this year it is estimated many long-distance visitors from all over Europe. This year they will be competing in nine classes: HD-Chopper, Chopper, Trike, Custom, Classic Custom, Modified Harley-Davidson, Classics, Best Paintjob and People's Choice, and moreover, Custom Bike Show also race in the World Championship for motorcycle building.
The common requirement for all classes is that the vehicle can be driven in normal traffic to and from the exhibition. Otherwise there are no limits and winners appointed partly by the exhibitors themselves will vote for the winners and a jury of professionals in the industry. The audience can participate and vote for your favorite and make it easy people vote directly on site with a text message.

Chesca Miles, artist, model and Britain's top female motorcycle stunt rider comes to Custom Bike Show to show her program of highly advanced driving on a motorcycle.

In this year's musical program is Finnish Erja Lyytinen, one of Europe's most exciting blues artists.
Erja is known for his lyrics and his singing but perhaps most importantly for her slide guitar playing. On stage, there is also The Beat from Palookaville, who plays the, blues, R&B, rock, there's not a genre as it swings on, who this crazy band not beats up!
If you want to hear rock, the cover rock band Janne & the Hellmoppers are playing.

This year also includes Custom Bike Show as an affiliate in the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building, which means that the winner of the jury's prize is sponsored by Twin Club MC of 5000 € to set up with the bike in the World Cup final which takes place in Sturgis ( USA) in August this year. 2nd and 3rd place sponsored with € 1500 was to set up in the European Championship finals in Essen (Germany). For all other classes is a price table with goods worth well in excess of 400 000. - SEC.

Success for the Custom Bike Show!

Extra everything! With extra taste! With visitor record and Scandinavia's best motorcycle builders in the City was this year's Custom Bike Show everything you could wish for. In the best summer heat, Norrtälje was invaded of 8000 motorcycles and over 15 000 visitors who came to take part of this year's Show.

The first Saturday every year is Custom Bike Show in Norrtälje, a center for Swedish and Scandinavian motorcycle builders. Here is the launch of all new construction and the country's famous actors are in place. This year, the number of European exhibitors and visitors, were more than ever.

• We have visitors from neighboring countries, Russia, the Baltic States, Germany, Holland, Austria and Italy, "said Twin Club President Micke Sandberg
• We also have exhibitors from those countries and it shows that interest in our event is great even outside Sweden, "continues Micke

Nearly 300 motorcycles participated in the exhibition, an area with a very high standard. Most of the motorcycles had an awesome shape and design with technological solutions of very high class. This, together with a fantastic paint-job created the conditions for a winner bike.

One who fulfilled all that was rookie of the year, the Finlander Lasse Tirkkonen from Kuusankoski outside Helsinki. One of the in “bike builder circles” unknown Lasse came to Norrtälje with a classic HD-chopper. His motorcycle was the big winner and the audience's favorite of the day.

First, he became the winner of the tough competition in the HD chopper class. The class was this year the largest and where the challenge is hardest. Lasse won the price for best paint-job and finished the year awards by winning the today's big trophy, The People’s Choice.

This year's exhibition was dominated by participants from Europe,  the exhibition is now very  well known as it attracts competitors, even  all the way from Austria. Half of the winners this year were foreign guests, three first prizes went to Finland – except from Lasse Tirkkonen was the first prize in the Classic Custom to Lavi Avikainen winner in the Custom was Samuel Heikkinen, both from Helsinki.

Two first prizes also went to Norway. First prize in the chopper class went to Brage Fossum from Trondheim and the other Norwegian winner was Paul Stenersen from Oslo, who won the Trike class with his Harley.

The Swedish winners were found in the Modified Harley Davidson class where all the winners came from Sweden. Won did Sarah Lindberg Aspes MC in Västerhaninge. The class for old bikes was won by Bjorn Synnergren from Stenungsund with an Indian from 1948.

The event, with a mix of exhibition and festival, is one of the largest of its kind in Europe, and is organized by the society Twin Club Mc in Norrtälje. This year's audience of nearly 15 000 visitors, a record and puts Norrtälje at the map of the year's most important motorcycle happenings.

• It has been a fantastic day, we had about 8,000 bikes through the entrances and around 15 000 visitors to the show, "said press officer Uffe Karlsson.
•  The event has continued and the audience has been able to see many of the currently best motorcycle constructions and at the same time feel the music performances and everything else that happens on the area, continues Uffe

  Although this year's Custom Bike Show is the Scandinavian part of the World Championship of Custom Bike Building. Two winners are selected by an international jury, with support from the organizing society Twin Club have the opportunity to participate in the World Cup Finals in Sturgis in August this year.

•  Sweden and Scandinavia have during the last 5-6 years been successful in the World Cup and we think its fun to show the world that the Swedish motorcycle builders are world class. Especially fun is the fact we have sent the World Cup-winner on a few occasions, "said Mike Sandberg

This year's finalists were Lasse Sundberg and Stellan Egeland. Lasse's Bike is a graceful chopper with a distinct retro-style built with an "ancient" Husqvarna engine and a long front fork. Stellan Egeland's building is a unique self-construction with hub steering.

Custom Bike Show™, A mecca of custom motorcycles in Norrtälje June 4, 2011

Chopper, Custom, Classics-winners och World Champion participator will be appointed and a party will be held.
Custom Bike Show will take place June 4, 2011 in Norrtälje. One of Europe’s largest exhibitions for customized motorcycles and a party that must be experienced.

The “capitol” of Roslagen invites to the largest party, in the form of motorcycle exhibition, live music and lots of attraction for people at all ages, of the year.
Among others performs Gil Edwards & The Knuckleheads at the big stage in the park and in the harbor a ”Top fuel team” and ”Motor cycle stunts” runs their shows during the day.

For the 37:th time since 1971 it once again is the day of Custom Bike Show.

The exhibition normally has 400 exhibitors and visited by 7000 motorcycles and 15000 visitors.
Bikers and visitors from all over Sweden and Scandinavian but also from Europe and rest of the world will come to Custom Bike Show.

Winners will be appointed in the classes of HD-Chopper, Chopper, Custom, Classic Custom, Classics, Modified Harley-Davidson, Trike, Best paint job and People’s Choice.
For the 7:th year and new for this year, a jury will nominate two Scandinavian contribution to the final of ”World Championship of Custom Bike Building” 2011 in Sturgis, USA.

Organizer of the event is Twin Club Mc which is one of the oldest motorcycle clubs in Sweden.

Custom Bike Show, Norrtälje - june 5 - Festival! Sun! Success!

Never before has there been so many exhibitors, never before has there been such a high class of the motorcycles in the show. Creativity and quality in conjunction with any Finish retrodesign of high quality was the hallmark of this year's Custom Bike Show. A top weather also helped to attract more than 12,000 visitors to Norrtälje. A show that had all the best.

Today's big winner was Minna Heikkinen from Bro, Stockholm, her red chopper took voters and jury by storm. First she won the class of HD Choppers, the class with most participants. Then she also won the Jurys Grand Price and Minna will therefore be the ones to represent Scandinavia at the World Championships of Custom Bike building in Sturgis, USA, in august later this year. Minna is historic as the first woman ever to participate in the World Championship.

Today's second hit was the new exhibition class Modified Harley Davidson, which got just under 50 exhibitors and meet the organizer Twin Club all expectations of participants.
 - The class has come to stay at the Custom Bike Show, said Twin Club's prize-award presenter Marlon Larsson, who along with his hat is a given element on the show. The class turns to more modern motorcycle where the foundation should be a frame and an engine block from HD .

The Exhibitors competed in eight classes, best paint and peoples choice. In addition, Custom Bike Show are also a affiliate to the World Championship of Custom Bike Building, where three winners are qualify to the European and World Championship. Nearly 300 motorcycles were participating, all of high caliber, so the voters and the jury had many difficult choices.

The audience was also participating in the voting, and here they quickly found their favorite in Peter Forsberg from Gävle with a charger powered piece of art on two wheels. Basically an HD with a stunning design of the charger, carburetor arrangements by God's grace with an advanced ignition system, a unique engine construction. On the petrol tank was a painted instruction for any racing, where the last instruction was "Pray". Besides the Peoples choice, Peter was also winner in the Custom class.

Finland and Finnish culture and craftmanship showed their best side when six of today's prices went east. Finland dominated the classes Classic Custom and Chopper by taking home second and third prize in both classes. The best was for Stefan Phikälä from Chemical Choppers, Imatra who received third prize in the Custom Classic. Stefan also won third prize from the AMD jury which send him to the final of European Motorcycle Building.

Custom Bike Show is for the sixth year an affiliate and semi final to the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building, which means that the winner of the AMD Jury is sponsored by Twin Club MC of 5000 .- Euro to be able participate in the World Championship final, and 2nd and 3rd place sponsored by 1500 .- Euro each to participate in the European Championship 2011.

Robin Bradley who is representing the AMD World Organization made a speech where he said that the Custom Bike Show is one of the coolest and best-organized exhibitions in World Championship competitions and the organizers Twin Club is one of the best.

Besides all the wonderful motorcycles Twin Club offered music with Crucified Barbara and Tres Hombres ZZ Top Tribute. Did you not listen to music, there was a wide range of goods and services in more than 60 different businesses and organizations which were represented. Here you could buy anything from a t-shirt to a ready Chopper.

The First Saturday in June is the Custom Bike Show in Norrtälje - it has always been - and will be this year too! Bikers-season always begins with a visit to Societetsparken in Norrtälje.
This year is the 36th exhibition, and many have been visitors from year one! 300 exhibitors will compete in front of more than 10 000 visitors in the audience.
Custom Bike Show is a large and established festival of motorcycle lovers from all over Scandinavia and this year it is expected many far awayvisitors from all over Europe.

New this year is a new exhibition class, a "Hall of Fame", Chopper Dave - a living legend in biker world included in the jury and the band, Crucified Barbara on stage!

This year we are competing in 9 classes: HD Chopper, Chopper, Trike, Custom Classic, Custom, Classic, Best Paint and Peoples Choice, moreover, Custom Bike Show also race in the World Championship of motorcycle building. The common requirement for all classes is that the vehicle can be driven in normal traffic to and from the exhibition.
Extreme show bikes only are built as works of art and not to run may not participate. * New class this year is the Modified Harley-Davidson - Slightly modified Harley-Davidson with the original frame and engine block as the basis. The new class is aimed at everyone who built on or changed his Harley Davidson, but for the sake of having built a brand new bike from scratch.

* Chopper Dave (USA) on a visit and a member of the jury. Chopper Dave is a living legend in the chopper circuits and have the last 20 years devoted himself full-time to bikes and hojbygge. He has created interest around the building based on the older Harleys (before 1984). Dave has worked with include Jesse James of West Coast Choppers in Long Beach, but is now working in-house and has an active page on the web.

* This year's music catalog is Crucified Barbara who play both in high society and fired at the party in the evening, the group mixes thrash metal, sleaze and hard rock.
