Custom Bike Show June 6, 2015!

Custom Bike Show # 41! Two days before this year's show the summer arrived and the first tour for many bikers went to Norrtälje! More than 9,000 found to town and most of the visitors came on a motorcycle.

This year was the major parts of Norrtälje center included in the festival site and several streets went to parking lots and space for other events.
More than 200 exhibitors in eight classes with exciting and fun bike builds and lots of activities for our visitors. On stage Guvenor Any and The Beat from Palokaville performed along with demonstration run in trial and stunt. At the harbor basin was 2 flyboard performing and every now and then, it was the start of a snowmobile with jet engine

At the very first show in 1971 it was about 40 visitors who found their way to Norrtälje, this year it was 200 times more!
From the beginning there were three classes, standard, modified standard, and choppers. This year it was eight classes and the only class that remains from the beginning was the choppers class.

New for this year is the class for Café Racer, and the first winner was a Dutchman!
Floris Velthis from Bremel in Holland won with his Flow Rochester Ironhead. Floris was also the jury's favorite and won a ticket to the World Championship of Bike Building in Cologne in the autumn 2016.
For the first show visitors came from our nearest towns, today visitors come from all over Europe. This year's competition had an unusual number of long-distance participants, we have had visitors from Holland, Poland and Italy. We had many visits from our friends in Finland, Norway, Denmark and the Baltic countries.

Just as the last years, our neighbors from Finland showed that they are a leading bike builder country with 3 first prize winner and 2 second prize winners.
Jari Niinimäki / Lunkka von the Chopper class, Mark Raunio won the Classic Custom and Jaakho Mäkelä won in Custom. In addition, Klaus Riste from Helsinki von the prize for best paintjob.

In the class for the oldest motorcycles, Classics, was won by Pierre Dal Ri who came all the way from northeastern Italy.
Even the winner in the HD Chopper was a long-distance guest, Bogdan Malajovics of Wieliczka in southern Poland.
Sweden became the winner in trike with Johnny Martinsson from Farsta and the Peoples Choice in which the audience votes for their favorite was Tommy Fiala from Täby the winner.

For the 10th consecutive year Custom Bike Show also the selection race for the World Championship of Bike Building and this year was the qualifying competition for the World Cup finals in Cologne in autumn 2016. In total, Twin Club over the years have sent 9 bikes for the World Cup and 18 bikes to the European Championship.
In 2007 Stellan Egeland also won the World Championship after qualifying via the Custom Bike Show.

This year the competition was won then Floris Velthis from Holland with Pål Steensersen from Norway in second place and Cafe Racer Manufacture from Poland in third place.
